Newer Cars Are Safer Cars

As the years pass, we noticed how much technology has made an amazing impact on the world around us. From hands free devices to back up cameras technology has helped to make our everyday commute safer. According to the NHTSA “The average vehicle on the road in 2012 would have an estimated 56% lower fatality risk for its occupants than the average vehicle on the road in the late 1950s. NHTSA estimates that vehicle safety developments helped raise the annual number of lives saved from 115 in 1960 to 27,621 in 2012. Cumulatively, these improved safety technologies saved over 600,000 lives between 1960 and 2012.” This means technology has SAVED LIVES!

However, with new technology comes higher prices but not for long! In August 2019, the average price of a new passenger vehicle was about $37,000 but the “NHTSA is working to keep regulations reasonable so cars, trucks and SUVs — with the latest safety features — are more affordable and families can be safer on the roads. We are committed to letting consumers choose the vehicle that best meets their needs while keeping them safe. ” Check out more about technology will impact you next vehicle purchase – https://www.nhtsa.gov/newer-cars-are-safer-cars

Tech Tip – If your T3 notifies you with an alarm message and you want to alert 911 of the emergency but when you call the T3 you just get ringing but no answer, the T3 is temporarily out of the cell coverage area.  Just send T3 a text YourPIN call.  The cell carrier system automatically keeps trying to deliver the message.  As soon as the vehicle is driven back into a cell coverage area, T3 will receive the message and will call your phone back so you can press # to make the 3-way call to 911.
